Why are my email open stats wrong?

Hi there! 👋 Here's a TL;DR Email tracking is the best way to find out about email opens, clicks, and so on. It will help you buckle up for future sequences and perform better. 🙌 So, first, let us see how tracking is done. How are email opens tracked? For tracking your emails ✉️, a small 1x1 pixel image is added to the body of your email, called a tracking pixel. When the pixel is loaded, our open tracking assumes your recipient has opened the email ✉️. 🔴 This would mean even if you opened the email, the tracking pixel will load and an open will be counted. However, it’s easy for email tracking tools to report back inaccurate data. 📈 Let’s see why that happens, 🔎 False Positives (False Opens) In this case, SalesBlink tracks an open even if the lead might hot have opened the email. 1️⃣ If your tracking pixel is rendered as part of email ✉️ preview. In this case, the lead may not open your email, but the image will load in the preview. Email tracking will consider the email opened, leading to a false positives of false opens. 2️⃣ If the recipient’s email client uses bots to scan 🔎 their email content for malicious or spam content, it is likely that the bots will go through your email ✉️ multiple times. ⚡️This will trigger the tracking pixels and will show multiple false positives or false opens. False Negatives In this case, SalesBlink is unable to track if your lead opened your emails. 1️⃣ If the lead you sent the email ✉️ to, forwards your email to ‘n’ number of people. Those ‘n’ new opens will not be tracked. Instead, it will seem like the original lead opened the email ‘n’ a number of times, which can be misleading. 2️⃣ If your lead is using tracking blocker plugins, the tracking pixels will automatically be blocked. There will be no chance of knowing if the lead opened the email ✉️, leading to a false negatives. 3️⃣ Sometimes, due to default settings, the image auto-load is turned off if the email sender is not a part of the lead's email contact list. And to track opens, images must auto-load in a user’s email client. ⚡️Therefore, the email open is not tracked in many cases because the image didn’t auto-load due to the lead's account settings. 💡So, while you can always track the emails you send, there is no surety of getting the most accurate data about opens. You can use the data as a reference but not abide by it blindly. That's why, always focus on replies ↩️ as a real metric. Hope you found this help doc useful! 😃

Why are my emails not sending

Hi there 👋🏻, Your sequence is scheduled but emails are not being sent? You're at the right place! There are a couple of things you should check to ensure why your emails might not be sending. But before that, make sure your emails are not even scheduled from reports. 🔴 In most cases, rescheduling your sequence to a new date will fix the problems. Don't worry, if an email has been sent to a lead already - it won't be sent again. 🚀 Check your Email Sender 🤝 Email Sender is Connected Visit email senders page & ensure the email sender that you are using in the sequence is connected and has no errors. 📈 Check daily limit of email sender If you are using an email sender in multiple sequences or even in one, then it might be that your email sender has already reached its daily limit for sending emails. Learn how to check daily limit of email sender. 🚀 Check your List Make sure that your email list does not have leads with emails that are in Unsubscribed list. Your sequence will not work for the specific leads in the list if they are - Archived - Unsubscribed 🚀 Check your Sequence Sequence Setting 📨 Outbox If you have selected the option "Review emails in Outbox before sending" then your emails will be waiting in Outbox to be reviewed & scheduled. Either uncheck this option or approve your emails from Outbox. ✅ Schedule for leads with verified emails If you have selected the option "Schedule for Leads with Verified Emails" along with "Valid email", then ensure that your lists contain verified & valid emails, otherwise the emails will not be scheduled. ⏲️ Random Delays between Emails Based on the Random Delays, you can see on the column "Email Sends/Day/Sender" which translates to the range of emails that will be sent per day per email sender. Note: There is a random delay of 30 seconds even if you do not select "Add Random Delays" - This helps in maximizing deliverability. 🤔 Why is my email sender not sending emails according to max daily limit? Emails are scheduled for a particular day while considering 2 things, max daily limit and random delays. Say you have random delay of 50-60 mins between emails for a sequence and max daily limit is set to 1000, from that particular sequence around 24 emails will only be scheduled as per the random delays between emails. Learn how to Update Random Delays ↪️ Reschedule your sequence Once you have checked all of the above & made any changes needed, you can reschedule your sequence for a new date/time. When a sequence is rescheduled then emails are not sent again to any leads again. 📧 Test emails are not sending out In most cases, your email provider might be blocking emails to be sent out because of the default tracking domain that we use. You can fix this by adding a custom tracking domain. This is also helpful for your email deliverability. Hope you found this guide helpful ✨ FAQ Why are follow-ups not scheduled? - SalesBlink scheduled followup emails after the previous email is sent successfully. This is done to ensure that follow-ups are not sent to unsubscribed or bounced email addresses.

How are Opens, Link Click & Replies tracked?

Hey there 👋🏻 SalesBlink helps you track email opens, link clicks, and replies. With these stats, you can better judge your results & improve. Optionally, you can also disable tracking. In this quick guide, we will be sharing (a bit technically) on how these are tracked. 👁️ Tracking Email Opens Email opens are tracked using a small, invisible image called a tracking pixel. This pixel is embedded in the email's HTML code. - Mechanism: - When the email is opened, the recipient’s email client loads the images within the email, including the tracking pixel. - This action sends a request to the server where the pixel is hosted, logging an "open" for that email. - Limitations: - If the recipient’s email client blocks images by default, the open will not be tracked unless the recipient chooses to display images. - Opens cannot be tracked for plain text emails that do not contain any images. Learn More 🔗 Tracking Clicks Clicks are tracked through the use of unique tracking links, where your actual link is masked with a tracking link. - Mechanism: - Each link in the email is replaced with a unique tracking URL that redirects to the original destination URL. - When the recipient clicks on a link, they are first directed to the tracking URL, which logs the click, and then quickly redirected to the intended destination. - Benefits: - Provides data on which links were clicked, how many times, and by which leads. - Helps understand recipient engagement and interests. - Limitations: - The default tracking links used by SalesBlink might be considered as SPAM, it is recommended to use your custom domain or subdomain. 📥 Tracking Replies Tracking replies typically involves monitoring the inbox for responses. Hence this does not work with SMTP Only emails. - Mechanism: - SalesBlink integrates with the email server to monitor for incoming replies via IMAP. - Each email is tagged or associated with a unique identifier to match replies to the corresponding campaign. - Benefits: - Measures direct engagement from leads. - Helps in assessing the effectiveness of the call-to-action links within the email. Hope this guides gives you clarity on how SalesBlink tracks behind the scenes.

What & How of Email Verification?

Hi there 👋🏻, ✅ Email Verification is an important factor to ensure high email deliverability. Let's understand what it is and how it works. 🤨 What is email verification? Email verification is the process of confirming that an email address is both valid and capable of receiving messages. Its primary purpose is to ensure that the email address: 1. Is Linked to a Functional Mail Server: Beyond syntax, verification often includes confirming that the domain listed in the email has a working mail server (known as an MX record) that can accept messages. If the domain or mail server does not exist or is unable to accept incoming mail, the address is considered invalid. 2. Has an Active Mailbox: Even if the domain and mail server exist, some email addresses may no longer be active, suspended, or closed. Our verification method communicate with the mail server to ensure the specific mailbox is still active and can receive messages. This step is usually performed without sending an actual email to the address, often through a “ping” to the server, though the level of verification can vary by provider. 😮 Why Email Verification Matters for Email Deliverability? - Reducing Bounce Rates: Sending emails to invalid addresses results in “bounces.” A high bounce rate can harm your sender reputation, which can influence how future emails are delivered (e.g., being directed to spam folders). - Improving Deliverability: Ensuring that your leads list is comprised of active, interested recipients increases the likelihood of emails being delivered, opened, and acted upon. ✅ What does SalesBlink check to verify emails? 1. Syntax Validity: Ensures the email address follows proper formatting standards. 2. Domain Validity: Verifies that the domain exists and can host email addresses. 3. MX Record Check: Confirms the presence of valid mail exchange (MX) records for the domain. 4. Server Response: Pings the mail server to see if it can accept mail for the address. 5. Mailbox Existence: Tries to validate that the specific user mailbox is active and can receive messages. 6. Catch-All Check: Determines if the domain’s mail server accepts mail for all addresses (even invalid ones), which can make it harder to validate individual addresses. 7. Full Inbox Check: Checks if the mailbox is over its storage limit and unable to accept new messages.
