Common reasons & fixes if your email sender keeps disconnecting

❌ Did your email sender disconnect yet again?

It can be really frustrating when this happens.

Email Sender is typically disconnected from your Email Service Provider (ESP) and we have little control over it. This most often happens with SMTP/IMAP providers. (Gmail & Outlook will rarely have this issue.)

Common Reasons for Disconnection

  1. You are sending too many emails.

  2. Your email bounce rate is high.

  3. Your Email Service Provider is unstable.

  4. Your Email Service Provider detected you are sending cold emails.

  5. Your Email Service Provider detected you are sending Spam emails.

  6. Your password has changed/expired.

Find out the exact reason

You can find the exact reason for disconnection by hovering over your email address on Email Senders Page. (❌ icon)

You can share this with your Email Service Provider and ask why is this error being thrown.

πŸ”΄ If this keeps happening, please reach out to your SMTP server provider with the error.

How do we tackle this?

We retry to connect your email sender 5 times in the span of 60 minutes.

If we are still unable to re-connect, we send you an email notification.

Just edit your email sender and save the settings (update details if required).
